Overview
Unitafy ("we", "our", or "the site") is a free unit conversion tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the site:
- Usage data: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is collected automatically by our hosting provider (Cloudflare).
- Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g. which converters are most used). No personal data is stored.
- Contact form submissions: If you contact us via the contact page, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your enquiry.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not require account registration or collect passwords.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not store the values you enter into converters โ all calculations happen in your browser.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party ad networks.
Cookies
Unitafy does not use tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set technical cookies for security and performance purposes. These do not identify you personally.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare for hosting and CDN. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data.
- Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy.
Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted. Contact enquiries are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the contact page.
Children's privacy
Unitafy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
